Apparently, men are morons (is male bashing in ads getting worse?)

Hi,

Have you been watching the Olympics, or, really, ANY television in the past 10 years? I have, and I've discovered that men are morons.
Yep, it's kind of sad. Every other commercial shows your typical bumbling male, with your typical wise, long-suffering women behind him, rolling her eyes, as he attempts the next-to-impossible task of... gee, almost anything, really. Cleaning, driving, cooking, shopping, raising children, or not hurting themselves, all of these tasks seem to be beyond that poor male, who's usually SO grateful when the woman steps in, to save him from himself.
I can't tell you how much this pisses me off.
If you took the EXACT same scenario, and reversed the genders in it, you'd have torches and pitchforks outside of the network, the ad agency, and the product manufacturer, all of which would be scrambling to apologize and distance themselves from any and all responsibility. Because it's MEN, however, it's fine. Funny even. It's NOT, though, it's damaging.
What are we telling kids who watch TV? It's been argued by every group in existence (and ESPECIALLY women's groups) that showing young people a distorted version of themselves in advertising can cause issues. Why, then, are we willing to show young men the image that they are bumbling idiots, barely capable of keeping themselves alive? We want men to be more emotionally available, then make fun of them when they are, or show them as lying deceivers who can't hold an honest conversation. We want men to be more involved with child-rearing, then show that they are basically one harebrained idea away from killing them. We want men to be more involved around the house, then show them ruining everything, practically (sometimes literally) burning the place to the ground. How is this right? How does this not go unchallenged?
The thing I find most fascinating, and infuriating, about all this is that, invariably, when I have mentioned this previously to people, I get an amazing number of variances on "now you know how it feels" or "suck it up". Again, take a gender issue, swap the roles, then tell that group to "suck it up", see what happens.
So, my argument is: male bashing in ads is prevalent, and getting worse over time, and is damaging to developing minds, both male and female. Agree, or disagree?

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

The China Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Chinese and global real estate markets, including China house prices, global house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a global house price crash or China house price crash. Is there a Chinese housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is it better to buy using a home loan, or rent and save the difference? How might a credit crunch or peak debt environment impact Chinese property prices? Is the Chinese property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices rise forever as people bet on future gains, refinance their mortgage and borrow against equity, or can we find a more sustainable long term approach to managing the Chinese housing market? These are the type of questions we hope to address here, at the China Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators! Whether you're a Property Investor, First Home Buyer (FHB) or you're a happily renting tenant, this forum has something for everyone. The forum includes a blog feature, so members may create their own property blog.
