It's normally been the case of 'Timmy's game' as the Socceroos' all-time top scorer has delivered with ruthless regularity down the years.

But, on this occasion, he labelled it 'Tommy's game' in recognition of the impact made by substitute Tommy Oar, whose 67th-minute goal proved decisive in the 2-1 win.

For once Cahill, 35 and deep into the autumn of his storied career at the club and international level, was on the periphery ... and it was left to Oar to spring off the bench in the 55th minute to make his mark the most indelible one.

"Tommy came in and changed the game ... it was great to see him running with the ball like that and the finish was the icing on the cake," said Cahill.

"It was pretty much Tommy's game. Even though he was only on for iempo Legend V Black 20 minutes or so, he http://www.nikecristianoronaldoshoes.co.uk/ was a breath of fresh air and it was just what we needed.

"There were a few shots from 30 yards and the ball was running out of play a few times, but his intentions were good and that's what the boss wanted."

With memories of how Australia's last FIFA World Cup qualification campaign went down to the wire, Cahill added: "It's a new journey for a lot of the boys.

"You want to leave with a win and not having to come back to the next camp with the pressure of having picked up a draw or having lost and needing to get a result is a good thing.

"We are well equipped for this campaign and have trained at a high level. We know it's not going to get any easier."

Cahill likened the clash against a team ranked 113 places below the Socceroos as like facing Scunthorpe United in his days as an Everton goal poacher, and 'struggling to win'.

"These are big games for these countries, the biggest games of their lives and it was their time to shine. We stayed professional enough to get the result," he added.

"I went to get a drink with the boss (during a stop in play) and the defender still tried to follow me.

"Half the time, Tiempo Legend V White even though they kicked me you just smile at them because I remember when I was that kid playing for Millwall against a Premier League team.

"They wanted to make themselves famous with a tackle or a goal and they were superstars tonight when they scored that late goal.

"We have mixed feelings but it's not too negative ... it would have been tough had we lost. We had to stay compact and deal with the pressure but it was caused by ourselves with loose balls and not sticking to the game plan."

Cahill said much the same awaits in Tajikistan, Jordan and Bangladesh as Group B unfolds.

"This is what it’s going to be like ... in Bangladesh times 50 and Jordan times two.

"We're the Asian champions and it's a big deal for these countries ... people want to see us and teams want to test themselves against us."

Skipper Mile Jedinak agreed, explaining: "We didn't expect anything less than a tough match ... there was great atmosphere in difficult conditions.

"But Mercurial Superfly CR7 Black we were going to have to dig deep, no matter what. Full credit to them sticking it to us and coming out and trying to impose themselves. I am just very grateful and happy that we got the result.

"Everyone put in a lot of hard work this week and I think it paid off today."

He also hailed the impact of Oar when he came on in place of Nathan Burns.

"Tommy was very positive ... they were on their last legs at the back when he came on and he doesn't muck about when he gets the ball.

"He took his chance well and was unlucky not to get another on his right peg.

"He's had a difficult time of late at club level and he made an impression. That's what we've asked Mercurial Victory CR7 UK of him and he delivered in abundance."

Jedinak acknowledged it was far from a vintage Socceroos show.

"We know we can perform better ... we are under no illusions about that but considering the circumstances we have to be pleased with the three points.

"We definitely didn't take them lightly, you have to give full credit to them ... as hard as it was getting the footage here from their game with Bangladesh, we managed to do it and that was a big factor in getting a good result."

The China Property Forum is an economics and finance forum dedicated to discussion of Chinese and global real estate markets, including China house prices, global house prices, housing affordability, and the likelihood of a global house price crash or China house price crash. Is there a Chinese housing bubble? Will house prices crash, boom or stagnate? Is it better to buy using a home loan, or rent and save the difference? How might a credit crunch or peak debt environment impact Chinese property prices? Is the Chinese property market a pyramid scheme or Ponzi scheme? Can house prices rise forever as people bet on future gains, refinance their mortgage and borrow against equity, or can we find a more sustainable long term approach to managing the Chinese housing market? These are the type of questions we hope to address here, at the China Property Forum, the premier real estate site for property bears, bulls, investors, and speculators! Whether you're a Property Investor, First Home Buyer (FHB) or you're a happily renting tenant, this forum has something for everyone. The forum includes a blog feature, so members may create their own property blog.
